Fencing and landscape rear garden

 

Paul and Dan Replaced rear garden fencing to the sides and the rear, they also removed the existing dead lawn and shrubs along with the weeds and replaced all fence panels, returfed the lawn and screeded the patio area and laid Raj limestone slabs. They turned up each day on time and left the area clean and tidy on a daily basis. They also removed all the rubbish from site. I was delighted with the finished project and would highly reccomend for future work.

Paul's work on my house has truly been outstanding. I am a very fussy customer that expects 100% from every tradesman I use for my builds the Team at PDH have honestly worked miracles in a difficult location. The speed and most importantly the quality is 2nd to none. If you decide to go elsewhere more the fool you. He has built an amazing house from the ground up. This is the second time we have used PDH. They complete a rear extension for us in 2019. As per last time the quality of work has been high - Sean who did the job for us was polite and kept us informed as the job progressed - he was hardworking and the quality of his work was fantastic. The completed project exceeded our expectations. Our house was kept tidy. Very very happy with the work undertaken and the internal doors that have been fitted. Paul's team fully lives up to all of the positive reviews. The full width dormer they built for us is simply amazing and has transformed our house (master bedroom, en suite and eaves storage). We had never undergone such a large project before and Paul advised us through the whole process; everything was taken care of including design, drawings and legislation. Throughout Paul and his team (Shaun, Sean, Neil and Dec) were patient, flexible and realistic with what we wanted to achieve and any updates we wanted to make during the build. For the first few weeks I didn't even know they were there. Sean and Dec were brilliant and I must say I missed them around the house once they left. They loved the dog and even let him out when I popped out for the day. The work was carried out under the RIBA Domestic Building Contract, and at the time of feedback is just approaching the end of the 3 Months Defects Liability Period. All the dealings with PDH were amicable, and the work was carried out with minimal disturbance, and to a good standard, and there were no problems in respect of the finances. The Contract allowed for pre-set stage payments, with a small retention at the end until End of Defects. There are no significant defects. Overall a pleasure to deal with and I would be happy to recommend PDH for any similar work, and happy to be contacted

The project lasted approximately eight weeks due to the scale of the works that we wanted completed. My wife and I are absolutely thrilled with the end result and couldn't have imagined what a positive transformation their work has done. As mentioned in many other reviews, Paul takes the time to understanding your requirements up front so that you don't end up in the awkward position of wishing you'd done something different. Paul's influences in this instance although cost us more money were worth every penny. My only gripe is we seemed to have ordered doors from outer Mongolia given the time they took to arrive and that led to my only request for improvement - no news is not good news! To be blunt, P D H Carpentry and Building Services were simply brilliant! I had architect/structural drawings prior to P D H getting the job (mistake). P D H was the only company to question them and it turns out they were right to - due to various reasons, it could not have been done! I cannot recommend this firm high enough. If only all building firms were as caring as these guys! We did our homework on who to choose and from the day Paul came round to quote (very competitive) till the day they finished the job we had no problems. They started on time, and finished within the schedule they had set out. The work carried out was of the highest standard, right down to the tiny details. We are extremely pleased with the conversion and the quality of workmanship throughout the build. It was Kev and Kev (from Paul's team) who looked after the project. Both guys were a pleasure to work with and really understood our needs. The attention to detail means that the final product is of a very high standard, so much so, that it looks like it is part of the original build. We have had many positive comments from friends and neighbours. Many have mentioned that the external appearance is enhanced with the addition of the dormers. Would we recommend these guys - yes.

Our house was built in 1930s and we wanted to find a company that would help us restore and update the property. Our list of requirements was extensive. Needed banister quickly and I was told within a week. Price quoted was fair so job booked in. Paul rang me on Wednesday to say he'd be on site at 08.00 Thursday. He arrived dead on time and started immediately. Job was done quickly and well and what little mess there was soon cleared up, both inside and in the garden. The team were polite and knew exactly what they were doing. Banister fitted well with no problems, due to careful preparation before hand. I have no hesitation in recommending them. Paul had been recommended to us by some other very happy clients. He listened to what we wanted and the outcome is fantastic! Throughout the project, they kept me informed of what would happen next so I was prepared - for noise, mess etc. As a child minder, it was my priority to keep the children I care for safe and the rest of the house as clean as possible, all of the various tradespeople who came to the property were very understanding and accommodating to my needs in this area, working Saturdays on some occasions where this was best for the children. For this I am extremely thankful! The quality and finish of my garage conversion is superb! Paul and his team made it their priority that all the new doors, window, radiators were both to our taste and in keeping with the rest of our property. I would highly recommend PDH Carpentry to anyone in the future and in fact already have. Very good standard of workmanship in all areas of the build. Terrific team of workers, very good time keeping, expectations were met time and time again with the build progress and the team had good work ethics. If they said 08:00 am start were at my house by 07:50 am. Not much snagging work in our case but the little that had to be done was completed quickly with no nagging required.

This is the second garage conversion Paul and his team have completed for us. They work to a very high standard and always offer professional advise, anything you ask is never too much trouble. Paul converted our garage into a stunning dining room which flows through into our kitchen and finished it off with a beautiful vaulted ceiling. We also had our utility room knocked down and rebuilt which has also been an amazing transformation. Sean carpentry skills are fantastic and his work is finished to a very high standard. We are a thrilled with the work we have had competed. We would happily recommend Paul and his team to anyone!

Paul is a very nice bloke and is conscientious about his work so he made sure it was all done to how we wanted it. He has a good team working under him and they are trustworthy. We gave them keys to the house as they were often working without us being there. They transformed the house and it is looking really nice. Good quality workmanship by Paul and by the people he uses and we are happy with what they have done. Work period over ran slightly but that was understandable with so much going on. Happy to give a good recommendation and I have before and after photos if anyone wanted to see them.

To say I am absolutely over the moon with what Paul and his team has done would be an understatement.

was true to his work every step of the way. The top two Estate Agents in the UK visited the property and in all they visited 6 times and were astonished which the transformation that Paul achieved.

You cannot get a better recommendation than this. In fact they also asked for Paul's card for a big job . They will not be disappointed. Ditto my two immediate neighbours who have seen start to finish the quality of work.

My only complaint against Paul and his crew, was they did not want to leave the house when the job was done !! I cannot praise them enough. That old saying you get what you pay for, but in this case is goes way beyond that. They even hovered the house up after they finished.!! Not heard of in the UK.

We recently had a loft conversion complete with walk in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom. Paul and his team were fantastic, great guys, very friendly and efficient. They worked hard and cleared up every night without fail and kept us fully informed on progress throughout the entire build process. The quality of finish is second to none. Paul and his team are proud of the work they do and it shows. They even took on board our ideas and accommodated them wherever possible. These included built in draws to the side walls of the room (Recommend you consider this as it saves a whole load of space when it comes to storage). The bathroom was fitted really well and they even managed to sink our shower tray into the floor to make it more of a walk in shower - brilliant. Would I use them again - hell yes, without a second thought. Don't hesitate.

This was a very tricky and awkward extension and loft conversion to our Chalet bungalow that included 90% of our roof to be reconstructed with 4 new dormers, it also included a new kitchen, bathroom and main bedroom. To allow any builder to carry out this sort of major construction most people would have moved out, we had to stay put, this increased the complexity of the job, however Paul and the PDH team accommodated us all the way through, always considering us living in the house while completing the work. They always kept everything as clean as possible and we were never without water, electricity and weather proofing! The PDH team were extremely trustworthy, friendly, fun and always very

courteous they made what could have been a very difficult 3 months liveable and a bit of fun. Now completed, this is an extremely high quality construction and we are over the moon with the end result and therefore we would no problem to highly recommend PDH Carpentry to anyone, just make sure you have plenty of tea for Sean....

We found PDH Carpentry and Building Services on checkatrade and have been really pleased we did! We admit to being fussy and particular customers, but this didn’t faze Paul and his team - Nothing was too much trouble; even when we wanted to make changes at the last minute. All the guys in the PDH team worked really hard and were committed to ensuring they delivered a high quality build. They were reliable - turning up on time everyday, were considerate, very tidy, trustworthy, courteous and great fun to be around.
